I am a young lady from the South who is an anglophile and is fascinated by royalty. To be clear, though, I am not a monarchist and I think monarchy isn't good for the people born into it. I have spent my whole life working in fashion. I am also a Christian, but not a conservative fundamentalist or anything like that.
To be clear, I am an internet historian. On the reliability scale, that's somewhere between and internet doctor and an internet detective. I am wrong sometimes and I am writing from my own opinion and interpretations. Most people do that, but aren't up front about it. Don't believe everything you read, online or in books. And don't believe everything you're told.
Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake" but hundreds of sources over hundreds of years claimed she did. History teachers told their students she did. But we now know the quote was actually originally attributed to someone else and there is no documentation linking it to Marie Antoinette. There are millions of other "facts" just like that floating around that aren't true or verified.
